What we collect
For visitors, we store a signed first-party identifier, battle visits, engagement, vote and outbound-click events, referral labels, and keyed digests derived from limited network and device signals. Tagged campaign links also record an anonymous visit count, landing path, and campaign label so we can compare outreach results without advertising trackers. We do not store raw card details. Challenge and sponsorship applicants provide product or brand details, URLs, a contact email, and application text.
Why we use it
We use these records to prevent duplicate and automated votes, calculate aggregate results and traffic-based pricing, review submissions, measure whether tagged outreach produces visits or applications, fulfill payments and refunds, deliver transactional email, produce privacy-protected sponsor reports, investigate incidents, and meet legal obligations.
Processors
Infrastructure and processing may involve Vercel for application hosting, Neon for PostgreSQL, Stripe for checkout and refunds, Cloudflare for DNS, scheduling, email routing, and Turnstile, Postmark for transactional email, and GitHub for administrator authentication. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy notices.
Cookies and human verification
Dethrone uses an essential signed visitor cookie rather than advertising cookies. When Turnstile is enabled, Cloudflare processes security signals to distinguish humans from abusive automation; its token is verified server-side and is not stored as a reusable credential.
Sharing and public data
Votes contribute to aggregate public totals after the score unlocks or a result becomes final. We do not publish contact emails, visitor identifiers, network/device digests, or individual sponsor-report events. Small traffic-source groups are merged into a privacy-protected bucket.
Retention and security
Keyed network and device digests are cleared after 30 days. Anonymous visitor records are kept for limited operational retention, and payment/audit records for the period required to resolve disputes and meet accounting obligations. Access is restricted; secrets and raw provider payloads are not committed to the repository.
Your choices
You may request access, correction, or deletion where applicable, object to certain processing, or ask a privacy question by emailing support@dethrone.today. Some records may be retained when required for fraud prevention, payment disputes, or law.
Changes
Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means the updated notice applies to later activity.
